What To Expect

Group 773
We are a member of the Anglican Province of Christ the King, a nationwide body of Churches practicing Christianity in the Anglican tradition and using the 1928 Book of Common Prayer. Our Parish serves Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. All are welcome.

Traditional Anglican Worship

The Eucharist is normally received by those who have been baptized, confirmed, and who regularly attend church. If you are visiting with us and have been baptized and regularly attend a church - even if you have not been confirmed - we warmly invite you to come forward to receive Communion.

If you are visiting and have not been baptized or confirmed, we still welcome you with everyone else and invite you to come forward to receive a blessing from the priest. Please do so by folding your arms across your chest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you Catholic or Protestant?

The Anglican tradition has historically been both catholic and reformed. The word “catholic” means universal; we affirm the doctrines of the universal church taught in three ancient ecumenical creeds: the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed. Similarly, we observe the seven sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Confession, Eucharist, Marriage, Holy Orders, and Anointing of the Sick. We also uphold the historic threefold church polity hierarchy of bishops, priests, and deacons in an unbroken line of succession.  However, we are not part of the Roman Catholic Church.
