The Reverend Darius K. Gasatura
Vicar
Father Darius Gasatura serves as the Vicar of St. Nicholas Anglican Church, having been appointed by the Rt. Rev. Donald Ashman on September 16, 2024. Originally from Rwanda, he has called Phoenix home for the past ten years. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Arizona Christian University and his Master of Divinity from Phoenix Seminary. He also studied at St. Joseph of Arimathea Anglican Theological College. Before coming to St. Nicholas, he served as Curate at Christ Anglican Church in Carefree, Arizona.
Fr. Darius was ordained to the diaconate on February 26, 2022, and to the priesthood on September 26, 2023, both by the Rt. Rev. Peter F. Hansen.
He is married to his childhood friend, Diane, and they are the proud parents of their son, Shima James.
Among the saints, he holds a deep admiration for St. Anthony, whose unwavering commitment to the holy life continues to move and inspire him.

Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of the Western States
The Reverend Canon Peter Falconer Hansen was elected Coadjutor Bishop in 2021. He was consecrated Bishop Suffragan of the Diocese of the Western States in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on September 21, 2017 by The Most Reverend Frederick G. Morrison, The Right Reverend Donald M. Ashman, the Right Reverend Doctor John E. Upham, and The Right Reverend Frank W. Brulc, to serve in the Diocese of the Western States (DWS), Anglican Province of Christ the King (APCK).

Bishop Ordinary of the Diocese of the Western States
The Right Reverend Donald M. Ashman was elected Diocesan Bishop of the Diocese of the Western States on April 22, 2016 and enthroned by the Most Reverend Frederick G. Morrison the following day at Saint Peter’s Pro-Cathedral in Oakland, California. Bishop Ashman was previously consecrated Suffragan Bishop on August 15, 2012 at Saint Peter’s Pro-Cathedral by the Most Reverend James E. Provence, the Most Reverend Robert S. Morse, the [then] Right Reverend Frederick G. Morrison, and the Right Reverend Dr. William C. Wiygul.
